Leylah Fernandez, the No. 5 seed in Nottingham, is looking for her first semifinal of the 2025 season in only her second quarterfinal match of the season.

She’s also looking for her third consecutive win for the first time in 2025.

She’s 2-0 vs Yastremska, with a win in qualifying in Doha in 2023, and in the first round of the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021. So it’s been awhile.

In Berlin, despite a sterling field, only the No. 1 and No. 8 seeds are still alive in the final eight, along with a qualifier and a lucky loser.
