Félix Auger-Aliassime back in action at his favorite time of the year – the fall indoor hard court season.

He faced Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur, which should have been a favorable one for him to get to the quarterfinals. But it was a slog; FAA got through in a third set tiebreak. But he was over 60 in both winners (22 of them aces, with just one double fault) and unforced errors.

FAA was pretty brutal – or Dzumhur was clutch – in break point situations. The Bosnian saved 13-of-14 against him. Dzumhur had just two chances, but converted them both.

Others in action: Karen Khachanov and Daniil Medvedev in Almaty, top seed Holger Rune in Stockholm and top seed Lorenzo Musetti in Brussels. Only Khachanov (the defending champion) didn’t get through.
