SYDNEY, Australia – After Argentina shocked Spain and Greece defeated Japan in the opening ties in Perth, the Sydney crew jumped into action on Saturday.

Action also continued in Perth, with Taylor Fritz’s knee now a serious concern for the Aussie summer.

Team China was a popular item during the Saturday session in Sydney – with their players huge fan favorites compared to the Belgians. And they were going to need all of it. And they got through.

In Perth, defending champions USA headlined the night session and were heavy favorites against upstart Argentina.

And Australia was the “home” team in Sydney vs. newlywed Casper Ruud and Norway. And eked through, despite Alex de Minaur’s loss to Casper Ruud.
