Most of the higher seeds have made the date; it’s the lower ones who went out a little prematurely.

The question that will be asked for all the olds was this: could Stan Wawrinka recover for his match against Taylor Fritz, after the marathon win over a Frenchman half his age on Thursday?

Well, he didn’t play badly at all, but it wasn’t good enough as he said goodye to Melbournee.
