Two of the “expected” names have made the Indian Wells women’s semifinals: No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka and No. 3 seed Elena Rybakina – who will be No. 2 on Monday.

The other semifinalists are somewhat of a surprise – perhaps not Elina Svitolina so much as Linda Noskova, who burst on the scene when she was still a teenager but (she’s still really young) has been rather quiet of late.

But in the end, it’s a rematch of the Australian Open final.

(Indian Wells is three hours behind EDT).
