It always felt like an uphill battle.

But in the end, persistent rain meant cancellation of all the matches scheduled on Wednesday in Miami.

They’ll have some making up to do on Thursday (and you get the sense that the issues that would have prevented the main stadium from being used on Wednesday might persist because of the additional rain).
