MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

ATP Tour – Thursday, April 9, 2026 final results

A lot of seeds went out on Wednesday. But they were ousted by good players and so even if many of these third-round matchups feature unseeded players, they all (for the most part) have a shot at winning.

The only matchup that went to form was No. 6 Félix Auger-Aliassime vs. No. 9 Casper Ruud. They met for the eighth time; Auger-Aliassime led 4-3, and had won the last three.

This time, a calf issue for Ruud meant the Norwegian retired early in the second set, putting Auger-Aliassime into the quarterfinals against Jannik Sinner.
