Gabriel Diallo meets David Goffin in a third-round match in Shanghai that shows how far he’s come since the two met in the final round of the Australian Open qualifying last year.

Diallo didn’t hold up that day; he learned a few lessons and now he’s a seed at a Masters 1000.

Same scenario for his agency mate Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who also lost in the final round of AO qualifying in 2024, but is also a seed but with a much harder task against Taylor Fritz.

And Novak Djokovic has a good draw to the fourth round, as he faces qualifier Yannick Hanfman.
