Marina Stakusic, who’s had plenty of success in Mexico, got a wild card into the WTA 500 in Mérida and was first up on the stadium Monday against No. 5 seed Dayana Yastremska.

Stakusic had some physical issues at the Australian Open, even though she qualified easily. And ended up having to retire against Priscilla Hon due to cramps that left her hauled off the court in a wheelchair.

This was her first match since then. And she was impressive against an error-prone Yastremska.
