Some fascinating matchups on the first main-draw day at the Citi Open.
One is a rematch of the Newport final a few weeks ago on grass: veteran Kevin Anderson vs. up-and-coming American Jenson Brooksby. The draw gods have spoken again.
Tommy Paul, Kei Nishikori, Daniel Elahi Galan, Marcos Giron, Yoshihito Nishioka and Belarussians Ilya Ivashka and Egor Gerasimov (who play each other) are all coming in after taking part in the Olympics.
Vasek Pospisil, who withdrew from the Olympics citing a shoulder issue, is in the main and faces qualifier Emilio Gomez of Ecuador.

The weather – shockingly for D.C. – looks mild and extremely cooperative on Monday.
