MELBOURNE – Less than 12 hours after she posted an impressive first-round win over Louisa Chirico at the Australian Open, Genie Bouchard was back on the practice court.
It was a much more low-key court situation – off the Oz Open site next door at the Tennis Australia national centre, where there are five additional practice courts for the players during the tournament. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was right next door.
The autograph and selfie seekers still had no trouble finding her. 🙂
Bouchard worked it for about an hour and 15 minutes in the big-time heat, and hit a Nike sponsors’ booth afterwards.
She plays Shuai Peng on Hisense Arena sometime late Wednesday afternoon.
