Roger Federer doesn’t get after the chair umpires too often. So when he does, it’s good drama.
This blast from the past came late in the third set of his epic 2009 US Open final against Juan Martin del Potro.
Federer was irritated about his opponent’s chronically late Hawkeye challenges.
“Don’t f…g tell me the rules. I wasn’t allowed to challenge, two matches ago, like, after one second. He takes 10 seconds, while you guys got rules, right?” Federer yapped to Jake Garner – among other things.
