Croatian teenager Ana Konjuh, who reached a career-high ranking of No. 20 just over a month ago, is out for the season after having surgery Thursday.
The 19-year-old had surgery on her right elbow early in the 2014 season, when she was just 16.
She missed four months. Now, she’s going through it again.
Konjuh was a phenom. She had just turned 15 when she became the No. 1 junior in the world after winning the 2013 Australian Open junior girls’ singles and doubles. Later that year, she won the US Open juniors too).
