Logo-less Halep starts 2018

As Tennis.Life reported exclusively back on Dec. 15, Simona Halep and adidas did indeed part ways at the end of 2017.

Halep confirmed it Sunday. And she also has confirmed that she has yet to sign a deal with another brand.

In the meantime, they’ve come up with a no-name outfit for her to wear for the first WTA Tour event of her season.

She came out in a lovely red kit as she defeated American Nicole Gibbs 6-4, 6-1 to move into the second round in Shenzhen.

Halep and doubles partner Irina-Camelia Begu also advanced to the doubles quarterfinals.
