MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

Penny-pinching on the Futures tour

Belgium’s Jeroen Vanneste, 24, says he had to pay $20 just to support his roommate at a $15K in Egypt – in which Vanneste is a competitor.

Why? Well, Futures factories like Sharm El Sheikh hold events all year long, for the express purpose of filling their resort hotel rooms.

Vanneste (like many other players) opted for a cheaper room off-site. Since he wasn’t staying at their hotel, they apparently dinged him.

The same ticket for the ATP event in France this week is 5 Euros.

And there also was this.

Will the ITF’s planned “reforms” improve conditions?
