Maria Sharapova, who pulled out of the Miami Open with a forearm issue and also parted ways with coach Sven Groeneveld, is back on court.
Sharapova was on the Har-Tru courts at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., spotted by the folks at the Deerfield (MA) Academy boys’ tennis team. Former coach Thomas Högstedt was with her.
It’s too soon to draw conclusions, though.
Sharapova, coachless, needs to train. Högstedt, a familiar face, is a free agent at the moment. And he works out of the same academy.
Nothing permanent here – at least not right now.
