As Canadian Bianca Andreescu rose up the junior ranks, the presence of former Wimbledon finalist Nathalie Tauziat was a big part of her success.
Tauziat, who also oversaw Genie Bouchard’s junior Wimbledon win in 2012, was with the Canadian as early as her junior Slam debut at 14, at the 2015 French Open.
But that’s now history.
Andreescu’s pro career began with a quarterfinal at the Citi Open in D.C. last summer. But she struggled in singles the rest of 2017.
Fed Cup captain Sylvain Bruneau and Andreescu’s other longtime coach, André Labelle, are now overseeing her development.
