Next month’s Group I Davis Cup playoff between home Venezuela and New Zealand has been relocated to … New Zealand .
The last three “home” Venezuela ties were held at the Miami-area Doral Park Country Club. A home tie in 2016 was moved to Peru.
The ITF cited safety concerns.
Their last true home tie was in 2016, in Caracas.
This is the second move for the upcoming tie – the original location was the same “neutral” Miami venue.
It seems the “Davis Cup hosting requirements” now are not met there, either.
It’s short notice, so New Zealand must find a venue.
