Flashback: 2008 all-Williams Wimbledon final

What a final weekend at Wimbledon in 2008.

First there was the all-Williams women’s singles final. And the next day (and night), there was the Federer-Nadal men’s singles final.

Serena and Venus, then already 26 and 28 (who could imagine they’d still be so vibrant 12 years later) met for the 17th time (they’re at 30 now).

It was their fourth meeting at Wimbledon. And it was, on ranking, an upset as No. 7 defeated No. 6.

Serena was sooooooo not happy at the end. 🙂
