MELBOURNE, Australia – The first day of the no-crowd Australian Open, made necessary by a small outbreak of COVID-19 in Melbourne, will be a rather restrained affair.
The crowds has been gradually getting bigger throughout the week – and certainly more people were expected on the weekend as they broke free of school and work.
But that was not to be. We’ll see if they have the artificial crowd noise at the ready.
