It’s incredible how quickly a big draw gets whittled down at a tournament.
Because even if it feels as though the Miami Open has barely begun, they’re already down to the last 32 in the men’s singles draw. Even the locker rooms and hotels have emptied out.
And instead of an overload of matches to take in each day, there are only eight.
On Sunday, the Auger-Aliassime vs. Isner rematch from the 2019 semifinal, as well as the Khachanov vs. Sinner rematch from the 2020 US Open are top of the list.
On Monday, Rublev and Fucsovics meet – AGAIN! And there’s an intriguing clash between two “up and comers” who are seven years apart in age: Karatsev vs. Korda.
Add in Tsitsipas vs. a resurgent Nishikori and it should be a pretty good day.
Here’s our Miami Open men’s third-round preview for SBD.
