On the eve of the Monte Carlo Masters, Stefanos Tsitsipas talked about wanting to explore his game on clay.
And he also talked about the conditions of tennis under COVID-19, which he thought were going to fairly easy at the beginning but are turning out to be, in his own words, “difficult and psychologically excruciating”.
Notably, no one attending his Zoom conference followed up that rather stark declaration with any questions about Tsitsipas and his father getting fined for breaking the bubble in Miami – a story we broke here exclusively on Open Court.
(We had another Zoom call at the very same time that could not be put off).
He was asked about the new association between Toni Nadal and Félix Auger-Aliassime, though.
Here’s what it looked like.
