MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

WTA Tour – Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 final results

No. 4 seed Maria Sakkari looked for only her second career WTA Tour title, a day after she ended a nine-match losing streak in semifinals.

But she was beaten by Anett Kontaveit, who won her third and improves her record in finals to 3-7.

As well, surging CanaKiwi Erin Routliffe sought the doubles title in Ostrava, which would have been the biggest of her career. But she and Kaitlyn Christian fell short against the highly experienced team of Sania Mirza and Zhang Shuai.
