The 2022 season begins in a few weeks.
But the 2021 season still isn’t done, if you can even believe it.
And Canadian Carol Zhao, who has played sparingly the last few months but did take part in the BJK Cup Finals in Prague in November, headed across the world to Seoul, Korea to play the WTA 125K there.
Normally, that event is a 250. But Asia has been a ghost the last two years on the tennis tours.
After a number of withdrawals, Zhao got straight into the main draw. But that’s a long, long trip to lose in the first round.
