Wild card (and No. 3 seed) Félix Auger-Aliassime entered the fray in Barcelona, but not against the opponent most expected (Sebastian Korda). Rather, he played qualifier Carlos Taberner, gave up just three games to Korda in a Tuesday shocker.

Auger-Aliassime battled himself, more than anyone, but finally got through a match that had to suffer two rain delays.
