World No. 1 Iga Swiatek, riding a long win streak, looked vulnerable Saturday against a game Liudmila Samsonova but managed to pull it out like the champion she’s becoming.

She met No. 3 seed Aryna Sabalenka who, in fighting off a solid challenge by the returning Bianca Andreescu earlier in the week, seems to have onramped back on the road to success that had eluded her so far in 2022.

And it was quick, in Swiatek’s favour as her winning streak continues.
