ROLAND GARROS – Who’s still at it?

Those two Spanish dreamboats Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco. Both have been playing fairly relentlessly this year (perhaps to try to get their ranking high enough not to have to qualify).

But there they are – and Lopez had a loooooong active streak of Grand Slam main draws on the line. Which unfortunately came to an end.

Also on tap? Jack Sock, who has hardly left the U.S. since the pandemic and Stefan Kozlov both went out in the first round as seeded players.

And unseeded Tennys Sandgren (on the good end) and Chris Eubanks (on the bad end) both played match tiebreaks.

Sandgren was down a set and 5-3 and somehow turned it around to win over the No. 1 qualifying seed.
