ROLAND GARROS – Next to Novak Djokovic, and on the court Rafael Nadal had just left nice and warm, Canadian Leylah Fernandez, coach/father Jorge, Canadian Billie Jean King Cup captain Heidi el Tabakh and two hitting partners prepared the 19-year-old for her first Roland Garros quarterfinal.

Here’s what it looked like.

Life on Tour has gotten a lot bigger since Fernandez reached the US Open final last September.

Open Court had a long chat with a gracious Jorge Fernandez early on in that practice, at the Jean-Bouin club down the road from the main site.
