Finally, and now 22, Félix Auger-Aliassime took the court before his friends and family and hometown fans, as he took on a challenging task in Yoshihito Nishioka.

Nishioka first beat FAA when he was just 14, in the quarterfinals of a Challenger in Granby.

He beat him in a heartbreaker at Indian Wells. And he ousted him in the first round of Roland Garros a couple of years ago.

But FAA had the crowd. And he pulled it out.

As for the carnage of losing the top two seeds, that’s a whole ‘nother story.
