ADELAIDE, Australia – A good challenge awaits Bianca Andreescu Wednesday night in Adelaide as she takes on No. 4 seed Veronika Kudermetova of Russia in the second round of the Adelaide International.
Andreescu made a great escape in her first round against former Grand Slam champion Garbiñe Muguruza, wriggling out of an 0-6, 2-5 hole.
She was out warming up just after 3 p.m. Wednesday to get ready.
And there was even a great Canadian encounter as Vasek Pospisil came on the court after her.
There was a lot of smiling and laughs with new coach Christophe Lambert, who has known the Canadian since her under-14 days at Tennis Canada’s Toronto training centre.
Here’s what it looked like.
(Cameo appearance by countryman Vasek Pospisil at the end).
