Not too many shockers in the final round of men’s qualifying, and so in the end it was No. 7 qualifying seed Alexei Popyrin who got the lucky loser’s spot.

The most compelling one by far was the all-Chinese matchup between Jerry Shang and Zhizhen Zhang, which ended with Shang limping around and Zhang finally prevailing in a very nervy tiebreak.
