INDIAN WELLS, Calif. –  Another “first-up” for Félix Auger-Aliassime, who got the 11 a.m. slot on Stadium 3 (which meant 2 p.m. back at home on EDT).

He came to the site with the intention of playing doubles on Sunday, and even went out to warm up. But in the end opponents Cameron Norrie and Lucas Miedler gave them a walkover into the quarterfinals.

Auger-Aliassime and Cerundolo met for the first time at the Australian Open this year, in the third round. The Canadian won in four sets. It took two sets this time – but it took awhile.
