MIAMI, Fla. – A new week begins, in this slightly chaotic four-week period that’s called the Sunshine Swing.
We’ve carried over the Miami results from the first week, although by Tuesday Leylah Fernandez (with Taylor Townsend in doubles) was the only one left in contention.
They made the final, in only their second tournament together. Good stuff.
Young Gabriel Diallo, who played a $25K on his “home” courts in Montreal a couple of weeks ago, is playing his second Challenger in Europe – this one in Lille, France. He’s into the quarterfinals

Hi Steph
I don’t use social media, but I wanted to respond to your comment about ad clicks. I had an ad blocker on, so wasn’t seeing all the ads. I stopped it when you mentioned ad clicking last week, so I’ve seen some interesting stuff there!
I really appreciate all your stories and insight, and visit your page multiple times per day!
Thanks! I mean, ads are ads. I try to eliminate the …gross ear wax ones. But every click produces revenue for the site, which bumps it up on the priority list of all the assignments I have at tournaments, which means I can do more. And doesn’t cost you anything! Win win.
Oh, cool. Good for you. I didn’t really know how it works, so if it helps you, that’s good, because in turn, it helps us.
