ROME – As much as it rained on Saturday, there were actually only two singles matches not played (of course, they were the two scheduled on the TV network back home I work for, but we digress).

Coco Gauff, who had a night session match on Centrale, ended up on Court 12 with a couple of lineups halfway down the site to see her. Unfortunately, she fell to Bouzkova.

Victoria Azarenka pulled out of both singles and doubles.

And of the “on paper” upsets that happened Sunday, none were jaw-dropping shockers.
