Both Bianca Andreescu and Leylah Fernandez are in action in Bad Homburg on Monday, hoping to get wins to get some momentum for Wimbledon.

It’s the first grass-court tournament for Fernandez, who was due to play last week but postponed her start.

Andreescu won her opener against a Turkish player ranked outside the top 200 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. But she lost her second round. And she lost her opener in Berlin to Marketa Vondrousova.

Also – Gabriela Dabrowski has another partner in Eastbourne – Aussie Daria Saville, who is coming back from a long-term injury after ripping her ACL last fall in Japan.

At Wimbledon she is to play with Aleksandra Krunic, who also is coming back from a knee injury and will play for the first time since last October in the Wimbledon qualifying.
