After countrywoman Bianca Andreescu got the “late” slot Tuesday in Bad Homburg, her fellow Canadian Leylah Fernandez got the same treatment Wednesday, as she faced No. 9 seed Anna Blinkova of Russia.

Unfortunately, both suffered the same fate, as both are now out of Bad Homburg and on their way to Wimbledon without a ton of confidence of matches.

In Eastbourne, most of the big names got through, setting up quality quarterfinals.
