Six seeds in action on the first day of the final Masters 1000 of the season in Paris-Bercy.

Having a 1000 in an indoor venue is no mean feat. But with seven matches per court on the two big courts, it means pretty late nights for the ones scheduled at the end. Especially with the length of matches these days, even if they’re somewhat quicker indoors.

Among the potential highlights: late night with Wawrinka and Thiem, Paul vs. Gasquet (Paul was down 3-6 in the third-set tiebreak, and ran the table to break French hearts).

Speaking of schedule-killers, Andy Murray vs. Alex de Minaur was up second. And delivered.

(Paris is five hours ahead of EDT – at least it is until Sunday, when it goes back to six).
