MELBOURNE, Australia – A third-round clash between No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev and No. 27 Félix Auger-Aliassime was on the night session on Margaret Court.

With Auger-Aliassime having wrapped up his second-round match before 11:30 p.m. Thursday, and Medvedev going deep into the night, he certainly has a little bit of an edge in that one. At least on the sleep quotient. But it wasn’t enough.

It really was the one with the most potential on the day, although it was intriguing to see what Alex Michelsen could do against Alexander Zverev. Turns out, not nearly enough.
