MIAMI – After all that, and after the top three seeds went a-tumblin’ out, the women’s singles final between No. 4 seed Elena Rybakina and unseeded Danielle Collins turned out to be something to look forward to, with plenty of back story and storylines.

Rybakina missed Indian Wells because of a GI illness; Collins is in the last year of her career. Maybe it was just destiny.

On the doubles side, the top two seeds made the final. And Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden are back up in the No. 1 spots in the rankings (they would have been win or lose, but they won it).
