MIAMI – The Cana-Kiwi team of Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe – once again – have saved the Canuckian day and done deep into a 1000.
Low-key, they’re into the finals after beating Americans Asia Muhammad and Alycia Parks in a comeback win.
On the men’s side, what might have been a “perfect” semis day with the top four seeds making the date was spoiled by the detestable (kidding – everybody loves the guy) Grigor Dimitrov, who took out No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz Thursday night.
Even without Alcaraz, by far the biggest crowd favorite here, it was still a sterling post big-three semifinal lineup even if the first match didn’t live up to hopes.
