ROLAND GARROS – Casper Ruud and Flavio Cobolli never got their match started Friday night in Geneva.
And so, they played it Saturday morning, with the winner coming back against Tomas Machac for the final. Ruud was … almost out. But he managed to prevail.
Machac defeated an out-of-sorts Djokovic in the one singles semi that did get finished on Friday. But Ruud was not to be denied both ends of his doubleheader.
In Lyon, new top 100 (as of Monday) Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard went for his first career title. And won it in dramatic fashion.
(Geneva and Lyon are 6 hours ahead of EDT)
