ROLAND GARROS – The first day of Roland Garros is a Sunday. And unlike last year there also is a “late night Amazon special” match.

So the first big decision (who, men or women, what will cause the least backlash) seems a no-brainer: Stan Wawrinka vs. Andy Murray in what well could be the final Roland Garros for both. Murray, we know; Wawrinka, it’s less clear.

Also: Carlos Alcaraz, who’s been off the radar some as he works to heal up some injuries, was on Chatrier and looked … just fine.

On the Canadian side there was qualifier Gabriel Diallo, making his Grand Slam debut and falling in five to the five-set master. Cana-Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, making his Roland Garros debut as a seeded player, got tight and went down in four to talented qualifier Zizou Bergs.
