Fernandez got rolling after a slow start. Stakusic was competitive, but it just came down to a little more experience in each set from the No. 27 seed.

And if you’d forgotten that Marketa Vondrousova won WImbledon last year, you were reminded by the fact that she walked out on Centre Court promptly at 1:30 p.m. – as the ladies’ champion does.

But not for long; Vondrousova is out – the only seeded player to go down on Day 2.
