Most of the scheduling was later in the day because of the backlog of singles matches. And in the end, plenty of matches were postponed on Wednesday – 10 on the women’s side, seven on the men’s side. This is not a surprise; those matches were on the sked, but once there were a few rain delays they were the first ones crossed off.

There are 38 doubles matches scheduled on Thursday. But the Wimbledon spotlight will be one of them – a rare early-round appearance for doubles on famed Centre Court.

Andy Murray and brother Jamie Murray will team up for the doubles at Wimbledon for the first time ever, in Andy Murray’s final Wimbledon. It’s going to be packed; and it’s going to be emo – especially if they lose to a very capable Aussie pair.
