It’s definitely not the women’s semifinals anyone expected – or maybe even, for most part, hoped for – although most expected Elena Rybakina would likely be there.

But after nearly a fortnight of challenges and upsets, this is what we have.

And all four, based on their play in this tournament, were fully deserving of the privilege to earn a spot in the Wimbledon ladies’ singles final. And all absolutely delivered on the day with some incredible drama.
