That means two more quarters on Friday, then the semis, then the final.

But the men were done as of Wednesday night. And so it’s kind of ghost town in the venue.

And in this case, you’d expect Coco Gauff and Paula Badosa, the No. 4 and No. 15 seeds, to get through against a wild card and a qualifier. And they did.

But of course, you hope for good tennis and good drama. And good crowds.
