After all the chatter about the … location, and very little pre-event buzz, the WTA Finals are finally under way Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It’ll probably all work out fine, from a tennis point of view. The rest is … what it is, at this point.

And unlike a year ago, when the Cancún finals were at the mercy of mother nature, at least the schedule will not be an issue indoors.
