Denis Shapovalov’s 2024 season was a bit of a roller-coaster.
But he finished it off in style – and heads to the Davis Cup finals as the No. 1 Canadian on a wave of confidence.
It’s been a very friendly draw in this final week of the ATP Tour regular season – garbage time, on some levels. But opportunity time.
Shapovalov played the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds en route to the final – and absolutely crushed both of them. And he got a talented, but inconsistent and rather inexperienced Serbian wild card in the final.
What a week, and back inside the top 60.
