It’s the only WTA tournament (even at the 125 level) on the schedule this week.

The top seed in action was No. 9 Paula Badosa. And the spotlight match was Maria Sakkari vs. wild card Emma Raducanu.

Canadian Leylah Fernandez got a winnable, but not easy, draw against the Belgian Elise Mertens. And she went out in a hurry.
