It’s another week of “duelling ATP 500s” with those having clay-court skills trying to maximize down in South America, and the rest in the Middle East at the tournament in Doha, Qatar.

Novak Djokovic is back for the first time since the Australian Open. And he kicked it off with a sendoff for his contemporary Fernando Verdasco, who resides in Doha and has been off the Tour for awhile. This will be his official farewell after a couple of decades of service. But they won easily.

Also back – Jack Draper and Grigor Dimitrov, who has been dealing with injuries. Draper gets through; Dimitrov goes out.
